1 Wall - Fast & Fun Sequence Line Dance (choreographed April, 1998)
Sequence (Chorus = A, Verse/Instrumental = B): AB AB A (dropping last 16
counts -- 41-56 --of Part A & repeating 25-40 instead). Follow this up with
Part A counts 41-48, 41-44 (3 holds & hips), then cross R over L & unwind
full 360 degrees left for a "big finish." It IS much easier than it looks!
When to start this dance: There is a slow sung intro, then you will hear a
guy say, "1-2-3" and then the ladies will kick in with the words, "Let 'Er
Rip." Start the dance the first time with count 2 - hip bump to right on
the heavily accented beat right after these words.
PART A - 56 COUNTS
First 8: Hold with attitude, bump hips R & L, hold with attitude, repeat
all
1 Weight is on L foot, feet slightly apart with R foot slightly forward
- stand there and do nothing (with attitude)
2-3 Bump hips to the R, bump hips to the L
4 Hold with attitude (weight on L foot)
5-8 Repeat 1-4
Second 8:(9-16): R fwd shuffle, L fwd, 1/2 R pivot turn, L fwd shuffle, R
fwd, 1/2 L pivot turn
1&2 Step R foot forward, step L foot together, step R foot forward
3-4 Step L foot forward, pivot 1/2 to right
5&6 Step L foot forward, step R foot together, step L foot forward
7-8 Step R foot forward, pivot 1/2 left (facing front wall again, weight on
L foot)
Third 8 (17-24): 4 forward toe steps
1-4 Touch R toe forward, step R foot down, touch L toe forward, step L foot
down
5-8 Repeat 1-4 (option - add finger snaps on even counts)
Fourth 8 (25-32): R forward rock & recover, 1/4 R and R side shuffle, L
weave ending with 1/4 R
1-2 Step R foot forward and rock forward, recover weight on L foot
3&4 Pivot 1/4 R on L foot and step R foot to R side, step L foot together,
step R foot to R side
(now facing right side wall
5-8 Cross step L foot over R foot, step R foot to R side, cross step L foot
behind R foot, step R foot
to right side turning 1/4 right (now facing back wall)
Fifth 8 (33-40): L fwd rock &recover, 1/4 L and L side shuffle, R weave
ending with 1/4 L&R hitch
1-2 Step L foot forward and rock forward, recover weight on R foot
3&4 Pivot 1/4 left on R foot and step L foot to left side, step R foot
together, step L foot to L side
(now facing right side wall
5-8 Cross step R foot over L foot, step L foot to left side, cross step R
foot behind L foot, step L foot
to left side turning 1/4 left & raise R knee(now facing front wall)
Sixth 8 (41-48): Hold with attitude, bump hips R & L, hold with attitude,
repeat all
1 Hold with attitude)
2-3 Step R foot slightly forward and bump hips R, shift weight to L foot
and bump hips L
4 Hold with attitude (weight on L foot)
5-8 Repeat 1-4
Seventh 8 (49-56): R side shuffle, L cross rock & recover, L side shuffle,
R cross rock & recover
1&2 Step R foot to right side, step L foot together, step R foot to right
side
3-4 Cross rock L foot over R foot, recover weight on R foot
5&6 Step L foot to left side, step R foot together, step L foot to left
side
7-8 Cross rock R foot over L foot, recover weight on L foot
(note: you can start to prep for the next turn by starting to turn to R on L
foot while lifting R foot)
PART B - 64 COUNTS (32 counts, then repeat counts 1-24, then 8 counts)
First 8: 1/2 R & R forward shuffle, L-R-L side touches & forward cross
steps
1&2 Turn 1/2 to right on L foot & step R foot forward, step L foot
together, step R foot fwd
3-6 Touch L foot to L side, cross step L foot over R foot, touch R foot to
R side, cross step
R foot over L foot
7-8 Touch L foot to L side, cross step L foot over R foot (now facing back
wall)
Second 8 (9-16): R kick-step-step, turn heels in, turn toes in, R heel &
hook, Mexican hat dance
1&2 Kick R foot forward, step R foot apart, step L foot apart (weight is on
both feet)
3-4 Turn both heels in, turn both toes in and shift weight to L foot
5-6 Touch R heel forward, hook R foot across L leg touching R toes down
7&8& Touch R heel forward, step R foot together, touch L heel forward, step
L foot together *
On counts 5-8 you will start to turn to R, completing 1/2 turn to R after 2
more sequences of these steps
Third 8 (17-24): R heel & hook, Mexican hat dance, repeat all completing
1/2 turn to right
1-8 Repeat above counts 5,6,7&8& 2X continuing to turn 1/2 R to end up
facing front wall
Fourth 8 (25-32): R fwd shuffle, L fwd, 1/2 R pivot turn, L fwd shuffle, R
fwd, 1/2 L pivot turn
1&2 Step R foot forward, step L foot together, step R foot forward
3-4 Step L foot forward, pivot 1/2 right
5&6 Step L foot forward, step R foot together, step L foot forward
7-8 Step R foot forward, pivot 1/2 left (now facing front wall)
Fifth through Seventh 8 (33-56): Repeat Part B, counts 1-24
Eighth 8 (57-64): R fwd shuffle, L fwd, 1/2 R pivot turn, fwd 3, R hitch
1&2 Step R foot forward, step L foot together, step R foot forward
3-4 Step L foot forward, pivot 1/2 right
5-8 Walk forward L-R-L, hitch R knee & get ready to Let 'Er Rip!!
